    Kiyaam Cooksey is a true example of an extraordinary young man. At age 18, he has been named Challengers Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year. As the Youth of the Year for Challengers Boys & Girls Club, Kiyaam is recognized for his sound character, leadership skills and willingness to give back to the community. Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive.

    This past Saturday, Challengers Boys & Girls Club alumni Russell Westbrook provided Challengers kids with VIP access to the release of his new shoe the Air Jordan XX9.   • Former NBA player gives back to the kids.

    Former NBA Dallas Mavericks player Moe Ager is giving back to the community through music and motivational videos! Moe Ager came by Challengers Boys & Girls Club to play some basketball with the kids and share his story, and to raise awareness around his new project: a music video that he wants to use as the intro to his speaking engagements with the kids.   • Macy's Thanks for Sharing Program Puts Education First


    Macy's continues to be an important partner for Challengers Boys & Girls Club and its education programs. Their contribution through the Thanks for Sharing program will help fund the afterschool education programs. It is because of Macy's kind generosity that we can continue to serve those who need us most.During the holiday season, Macy's raised over $1 million to support local Boys & Girls Clubs as part of its "Thanks for Sharing" campaign.


  • Time Warner Cable presents the "Living and Working in Space" S.T.E.M Program


    Time Warner Cables $10,000 donation in partnership with the California Science Center exposed Challengers members to an amazing and educational S.T.E.M program. This exciting 8-week program took our youth on a journey of exploration to learn the challenges of living and working in space through hands-on activities and engineering design challenges. “The S.T.E.M program allowed me to better understand science and helped me raise my science grade to an “A”.     Disney partnered with Challengers Boys and Girls Club to provide 50 tickets to Disneyland and California Adventure. This is a partnership with the other 26 local organizations in LA County. We would like to thank Disney for their continued support to Challengers Boys and Girls Club as well to the other local organizations that serve the youth of their community.

  • United Airlines Volunteers Lead The Way


    No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others.  The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude. We would like to thank the wonderful staff from United Airlines for volunteering their time and energy into transforming our 6-9 year old recreation room, and giving the kids a special place to just be kids!
